The aims and objectives of the foundation are training and education, empowerment and rehabilitation of individuals with autism. Moonflower Autism Foundation is registered as a nonprofit, nonpolitical, voluntary organization with the Social Service Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Bangladesh Registration No: Dha-10027, Dated 19.11.2023

Moonflower Autism Foundation's Anniversary Celebration

On March 8, 2025, Saturday, at 10:30 AM, Moonflower Autism Foundation celebrated its anniversary with a outstanding event. On this occasion, a discussion session and cultural program were organized at the foundation's premises. The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Shiraji Munira Choudhury, Secretary of the Foundation. She warmly greeted all the guests and attendees and discussed the various activities of the Foundation and its future plans. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of creating awareness about autism and detailed the Foundation's continuous work. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Md. Mohiuddin , the Honorable Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. শুধু থেরাপি নয়, বিশেষ শিক্ষকের হাত ধরেই খুলে যায় বিশেষ চাহিদাসম্পন্ন শিশুদের সম্ভাবনার দুয়ার Mofijul Islam Executive Director MOONFLOWER AUTISM FOUNDATION আমাদের সমাজে যখনই বিশেষ চাহিদাসম্পন্ন শিশুদের প্রসঙ্গ আসে, তখনই আলোচনার কেন্দ্রবিন্দু হয়ে ওঠে থেরাপি—স্পিচ থেরাপি, অকুপেশনাল থেরাপি, বিহেভিয়র থেরাপি, সেন্সরি ইন্টিগ্রেশন ইত্যাদি। নিঃসন্দেহে এই থেরাপিগুলোর প্রয়োজনীয়তা ও কার্যকারিতা রয়েছে, বিশেষ করে শারীরিক গঠন, আচরণগত পরিবর্তন এবং মৌলিক দক্ষতা বিকাশের ক্ষেত্রে। কিন্তু আমরা প্রায়শই ভুলে যাই আরেকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্তম্ভকে—বিশেষ শিক্ষা ও বিশেষ শিক্ষক। থেরাপি শিশুকে প্রস্তুত করে তোলে, কিন্তু শেখার রাস্তায় তাকে পরিচালিত করেন একজন বিশেষ শিক্ষক। তারা কেবল শিশুকে বর্ণমালা, সংখ্যা বা শব্দ শেখান না—তারা শেখান কীভাবে শিশু তার আবেগকে প্রকাশ করতে পারে, কীভাবে পরিবেশের সঙ্গে খাপ খাইয়ে নিতে পারে, কীভাবে নিজের অবস্থানকে তুলে ধরতে পারে সমাজের সামনে। বিশেষ শিক্ষকের এই ভূমিকা অনেক সময়ই নীরব থাকে, আলোচনার বাইরে পড়ে যায়। অথচ একজন শিশুর সমন্বিত বিকাশে এই ভূমিকা অনস্বীকার্য। বিশেষ চাহিদাসম্পন্ন ...

MISSION • Improve quality of life by providing quality training & education, skill development, and facilitating other necessary services to individuals with autism, their parents, caregivers, teachers and other relevant persons. • Implement comprehensive integrated development plan with rehabilitation and residential center embracing scientific research and technology for individuals with autism. • Uphold rights of special persons with autism through Advocacy, Policy reforms and Awareness program. PRESENT ACTIVITIES 1. MOONFLOWER SCHOOL FOR AUTISM: Provides special education and training to individuals with autism. There is a highly structured classroom setting with all modern amenities and trained teachers and therapists. There are also vocational and adult activities for the older persons with autism.
